It was last December when I went to visit Picasso’s Suite Vollard at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila and happened to come across Vicky Faye Aquino’s art exhibition titled Intuitive Nature. I got to meet her and gave her my e-mail address. I told her that I was an artist too. When I saw her works for the first time, I noticed how she also liked to use the same bright colors I use in my paintings. So when she messaged me saying she was having another exhibit, I just had to go because I loved how she and I have this similar childlike style in abstract painting.
(I brought the iPad along to show her some of my artworks).
It amazes me how Mama Lou’s, my favorite Italian restaurant, somehow resembles van Gogh’s Cafe Terrace at Night. :)
